Christmas Eve Sibling Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Largo: PCSO
An argument over Christmas gifts led to a gunfight between 2 teen brothers, sister's fatal shooting in Largo, Pinellas County sheriff said.
LARGO, FL — Two teenage brothers face charges related to the Christmas Eve shooting death of their older sister.
While the sheriff’s office released the teens’ names, it is Patch's policy not to identify those in the juvenile court system. It isn’t clear whether the brothers will be charged as juveniles or adults.
Deputies responded to their grandmother’s home on 22nd Avenue SW in unincorporated Largo where they found Abrielle Baldwin, 23, and her 14-year-old brother, both of Oldsmar, each with a single gunshot wound, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Baldwin was brought to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her brother was also brought to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Leading up to the shooting, the three siblings got into an argument over Christmas gifts, the sheriff’s office said.

When Baldwin told her 14-year-old brother “to stop arguing because it was Christmas,” he threatened to shoot her and her 11-month-old son, who she was holding in a baby carrier, and shot her in the chest, PCSO said.
Their 15-year-old brother pulled out another gun and shot his younger brother for shooting their sister. He ran from the home, throwing the gun in a nearby yard. Detectives are still looking for the gun used by the older brother.
After the 15-year-old contacted his mother, he was found and brought to a mental health facility after making statements about harming himself. He will be transferred to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center once he’s released, the sheriff’s office said.
The 14-year-old brother was charged with first-degree murder, child abuse and delinquent in possession of a firearm.
The 15-year-old brother was charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
