Police Say Largo Man Shot Girlfriend In Bed, Killed Himself
When police interviewed the family, they said they learned the couple had a tumultuous relationship.
LARGO, FL β Largo police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide on Dec. 19.
Police were called to the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park at 3:18 p.m. for a report of two people dead. When they investigated, detectives discovered that, during the early morning hours, 46-year-old Ricardo Ortiz Gomez shot and killed his girlfriend, 30-year-old Sharry Colon, while she was sleeping in her bed. Ortiz Gomez then committed suicide.
A family member later found the couple dead.
