LARGO, FL β€” The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Pinellas County school bus driving 23 students from Largo High School.

According to troopers, on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m., a Nissan Frontier driven by a 45-year-old Largo man was traveling west on Belleair Road. Just east of Bravo Drive, the Nissan attempted to pass stopped traffic.

The school bus was taking students from the high school east on Belleair Road. Troopers said the school bus driver, a 43-year-old St. Petersburg man, steered to the shoulder to avoid a head-on collision. As a result, the left front of the Nissan struck the left rear of the bus.

Neither the bus driver, nor any of the students suffered injuries. A bus monitor received minor injuries.
