LUTZ, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate a Royal Synergy Productions bus crash that occurred on southbound Interstate 75 south of State Road 56 Friday at 12:10 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Pontiac sedan driven by a 21-year-old Clearwater man was heading south on I-75 when the driver lost control and entered the inside shoulder and collided with the inside guardrail.

The car ricocheted back into the travel lanes, where he struck a bus driven by a 45-year-old man from Orlando with no passengers on board.

The car rotated and overturned in the northbound lanes of I-75 and the bus struck the outside of a concrete barrier wall, resulting in debris falling onto the exit ramp leading from I-75 to SR-56.

The bus driver suffered minor injuries and the Clearwater man was seriously injured.
