Dade City Man Killed In Crash On St. Joe Road

PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 63-year-old Dade City man was killed when he lost control of the pickup truck he was driving on St. Joe Road and collided nearly head on with another pickup truck.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, the Dade City man was heading west on St. Joe Road and a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old Dade City man was driving a pickup truck east on St. Joe Road.

Troopers said the 63-year-old man lost control of his truck just west of Robert Barns Road and entered the eastbound lane, hitting the other pickup truck.

The 63-year-old man's pickup truck overturned and he died at the scene.

The driver of the other pickup truck and his passenger suffered minor injuries.
