LUTZ, FL β€” Dr. Yasmeen Hashimie has joined BayCare Medical Group and is affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospital-North in Lutz.

Hashimie has an office in the Physician Office Building on the St. Joseph's Hospital-North campus, 4211 Van Dyke Road, Suite 200, Lutz. She is accepting patients 18 years and older.

Hashimie is board-certified in internal medicine and specializes in general hematology and oncology. She also speaks Hindi.

Hashimie’s clinical practice emphasizes patient and family-centered care. She believes in whole-person health care and is passionate about patient advocacy and providing her patients with clinical research trial options.

Hashimie is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Women’s Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton. Hashimie continued her medical education by completing an internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center/Texas A&M College of Medicine in Temple, Texas. Prior to the start of her fellowship, she completed a chief residency year in medicine with focus on quality improvement in health care and academic medicine.
