Man Drives Truck Through Home Depot Entrance In New Tampa

TAMPA, FL - A man drove his truck through the front doors of a Home Depot, 17601 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in New Tampa, about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Tampa police said. No injuries were reported.

The driver was detained by a group of individuals at a nearby gas station. Paramedics evaluated the driver and he was later taken into police custody. The driver's name has not been released. Police described the man as being mentally unstable.

Officers inspected the vehicle and determined that it did not pose any additional threat to the area. The store was not damaged.
