Pasco Man Stabbed By Child During Domestic Dispute With Child's Mother

A Dade City man is recovering from life-threatening injuries after being stabbed by a child during a dispute with the child's mother.

DADE CITY, FL — A Dade City man is recovering from life-threatening injuries after being stabbed by a child during a domestic dispute with the child's mother on Tuesday.

Dade City police were called to Willingham Avenue and Hestor Lake for a stabbing during a domestic argument.

Police learned that a fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend turned violent when the man, identified as Donald Terrence Parker, 39, began choking his girlfriend, causing her to pass out.

When one of the girlfriend's children tried to intervene, police said Parker attacked the children, ages 12 and 16, with a broom handle, striking them several times.

One of the children then grabbed a knife and stabbed Parker to stop his attack.

A neighbor called 911 and Parker fled the home before police arrived. He was found a short distance away and taken into custody.

Due to the severity of his stab wounds, Pasco County Fire Rescue had him airlifted to a hospital where he underwent surgery.

He will be booked into the Land O' Lakes Detention Center once he's released from the hospital.
