Single Mothers, Widows Get Free Oil Changes Saturday

Single mothers and widows are invited to get a little help from a local business this weekend.

Christian Brothers Automotive in nearby Land O' Lakes is teaming up with Oasis: A Pregnancy Care Center, Candlewood Community Church and Myrtle Lake Baptist Church to provide a free oil change, car check, and car wash to local single moms and widows from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.

"We will be changing their oil and filter, washing their vehicles and serving them refreshments while they wait. Myrtle Lake Baptist Church Youth group will be washing the vehicles," Christian Brothers Automotive owner Larry Giannone said.

The outreach is designed to ensure that the single moms in the community have reliable vehicles and transportation for their children without the cost, Giannone said.

Online pre-registration at www.CBA2012.com is strongly encouraged in order to provide efficient service with a limited crew, however drive-ups will be accepted, Giannone said.

Christian Brothers Automotive is located at 23650 Venezia Drive in Land O' Lakes, just off State Road 54.
