SwampFest Brings Carnival Fun to the Community

Pull out your calendars, festival lovers. The Land O’ Lakes SwampFest is slated for Nov. 2- 4.

The annual event will turn the grounds of the Land O’ Lakes Community Center into a midway and entertainment venue, complete with live entertainment, rides, games and a variety of vendors.

The community event is sponsored by the Land O' Lakes High School Athletic Booster Club, but many local schools participate by selling tickets and setting up fundraising booths at the festival, event coordinator Doug Hutchinson said.

All the details haven’t been finalized, but organizers are hoping to have some new rides this year, Hutchinson said. 

“We have some new vendors and possibly a new layout,” he said.

Vendor spaces are still available, and “we always need volunteers,” Hutchinson said.

Volunteers can sign up online and indicate what they would like to help out with, he said.

The Miss and Mr. SwampFest pageant will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Event hours:

Friday, Nov. 2,  4 - 11 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 3, noon - 11 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 4, noon- 6 p.m.
