• Margate Crime Blotter: Strong-Arm Robbery Outside Walmart Tops Week of Police Incidents (margatetalk.com) — Margate police handled a busy week of incidents, including a strong-arm robbery outside the Walmart on West Atlantic Boulevard and multiple arrests at the Margate Fair. The blotter also details thefts, drug and traffic offenses, juvenile firearm arrests, trespassing cases, and mental health-related calls at familiar local businesses and streets residents pass every day.
   

• Preliminary Work Kicks Off 36-Acre Margate City Center, Paving the Way for 950 Apartments, Shops and Parks (margatetalk.com) — Margate’s long-planned 36-acre City Center is moving forward, with preliminary work now underway after the CRA board reviewed Brookfield Properties’ plans. Up to 950 apartments, 65,000 square feet of retail, and large park spaces are envisioned along State Road 7, replacing older plazas with a walkable hub of shops, restaurants, and public gathering areas over several construction phases starting in 2027.
   

• Mom of missing Margate girl formally charged as search for 10-year-old continues (sun-sentinel.com) — Margate police are still searching for 10-year-old Gabrielle “Gabby” Terrelonge, while her mother, Passha Davis, now faces felony child neglect and related charges and remains jailed in Broward County. Investigators say Gabby was last known to be with her mother at an Orlando Greyhound station, and authorities urge Margate residents to share any tips with local police, Crime Stoppers, or the FBI.
