Entenmann, Baked Goods Pioneer, Dies At 92 In Florida: Report

Charles Entenmann, who expanded his family's New York bakery into a national brand, died in February at his home in Hileah.

HILEAH, FL — Charles Entenmann, who expanded his family's Brooklyn-based bakery into a national brand, died in his home in Hileah, Florida, according to a Newsday report.

Entenmann's son told the publication his father died on Feb. 24 at age 92.

Entenmann sold the business to Warner-Lamber in 1978, and the company is currently owned by Grupo Bimbo. Entenmann moved to Florida in the 1980s.
