1. An investigation has been launched by police into two men who were seen hitting a shark they caught with a hammer and releasing it back into the water, the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department shared on its Facebook page. The investigation is being handled by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. (Miami Patch)
2. Rapper and Miami resident Future joined city chairwoman Christine King to hand out presents to the community in Little Haiti Friday. Future’s Free Wish Foundation was one of the sponsors of the gathering. (WSVN)
3. Members of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Technical Rescue Team in South Florida helped spread holiday cheer on Friday to those who need it most. "Dressed as Santa Claus, Rudolph and Buddy the Elf, crew members rapelled down Broward Health Medical Center, waving through windows, and cheering on pediatric patients in the hospital for the holidays," Broward Health said in a release. 4. Miami Dolphins LB Jerome Baker joined with the Dairy Council of Florida and Fuel Up to Play on Tuesday, Dec. 20, with 60 students at Wellington Landings Middle School in Palm Beach County to present a grant as part of the partnership’s continued commitment towards supporting youth health and wellness through the Hometown Grants Program. "This new school cafeteria equipment will help to ensure that students have access to the nutrition they need to be successful throughout the academic year," said Teresa Moran-Wiebe, Vice President, Dairy Council of Florida. 5. A North Miami office building has hit the market with an asking price of $45 million, according to The Real Deal. The building is known as Biscayne Centre, an eight-story building at 11900 Biscayne Boulevard. The asking price is around $288 per square foot. (The Real Deal - Miami)
