1. A Jupiter-based photographer and filmographer recorded footage of an alligator swimming in the ocean on Saturday near Jupiter Island. The couple who captured the footage was shocked to see the alligator in the ocean, but this time of year is usually when the reptiles begin migrating. (Boca Raton Patch)

2. Baptist Health South Florida is celebrating a new digital resuscitation education solution meant to help improve cardiac arrest survival for patients. The system uses the Resuscitation Quality Improvement Program (RQI) pioneered by the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical. Baptist Health South Florida has implemented 90 RQI simulation stations throughout the hospitals to deliver Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support course instruction. 3. 216 homeless people died on the streets of Miami-Dade this year, the deadliest year since 2000, according to advocates. There are a number of reasons for the deaths including natural causes, addiction, murders, disease, and illness. (Miami Times)
4. The woman involved in an altercation Tuesday at Miami International Airport has been arrested, police confirmed. The viral video of the woman causing a tantrum was originally posted to the Only in Dade Instagram account, amid heavy traffic during the holiday season at South Florida airport. (WSVN)
5. The FBI discovered a "large cockfighting ring" in Miami-Dade County on Tuesday while executing a search warrant and looking into a possible kidnapping, according to Miami-Dade police. The incident in question happened in the 24000 block of Southwest 123rd Avenue. (WPLG Local 10)
