1. A City of Miami Fire Rescue lieutenant caught on video punching a handcuffed patient on a stretcher has shown no remorse and said he does not regret the altercation. "If he never knew the consequence of spitting in a grown man’s face, then consider my actions public education and this video a PSA," said the embattled worker for City of Miami. The lieutenant is currently under investigation. (NBC Miami)

2. Body Armor sports drink, The Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, and a former NBA star joined forces to refurbish the basketball court at the Hank Kline Club at the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade. The sports foundation was started in memory of former LA Laker Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi. (WSVN)

3. South Florida food banks are working hard to prepare for a busy holiday season with inflation impacting local families. Donations and volunteers are needed now more than ever. "Our rent is about to go up almost 50 percent here in this facility so that's changing for us," said Feeding South Florida CEO Paco Velez. (CBS Miami)

4. Joliet has opened in South Beach from the team behind Lost Boy Co., Tropezon, and Fox's Lounge located at 1209 17th St. Menu items include oysters Juliet, New Orleans-style barbecue prawns, and Wagyu steak tartare. (Eater Miami)

5. The Tides South Beach hotel is going into foreclosure after the owner lost a $82.2 million judgment. The Tides South Beach closed for renovations in 2017 and was damaged later that year by Hurricane Irma. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)
