5 Pedestrians Mowed Down By Motorist In Miami Beach
Miami Beach police said they were investigating to determine if alcohol was a factor.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Five pedestrians, including two children were mowed down on Sunday afternoon in Miami Beach. Police said they were attempting to determine if alcohol was a factor. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at 18 Street and Meridian Avenue.
"An adult male driver struck five pedestrians including two children," explained Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department.
Rodriguez said that the victims have been taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

"The two children were transported as a precaution," he said. "At this point the injuries to the victims do not appear to be life threatening."
He said that accident investigators are on the scene and conducting a "potential DUI investigation."
