Arrest Made In Grisly Miami Beach Stabbing Death
Humberto "Cuba" Armenteros was charged with first-degree murder and is accused of repeatedly stabbing his victim with a kitchen knife.

MIAMI BEACH, FL β An unemployed 32-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with last week's grisly stabbing death of a man who had fallen asleep in a Miami Beach apartment. Humberto "Cuba" Armenteros was charged with first-degree murder and is accused of repeatedly stabbing his victim with a kitchen knife. Police identified the victim as Charles "Africa" Mensah.
"Defendant Armenteros admitted to stabbing 'Africa' (Mr. Mensah) several times using a kitchen knife he acquired from the apartment's kitchen area," according to court documents. "Defendant Armenteros admitted he attacked Mr. Mensah as he slept, defenseless on the couch."
The incident occurred at 7:22 a.m. in the 1200 block of 14th Street. Mensah was pronounced dead at the scene.

Court documents said that Armenteros fled from the rear door of the apartment "still armed with the knife." He was arrested in Miami.
