The sun may never really set on our endless summer but the Miami area still knows how to celebrate Labor Day weekend.

MIAMI BEACH, FL β€” The sun may not really be setting on our endless summer, but the Miami area still offers plenty of things to do on Labor Day weekend. You can catch the Goo Goo Dolls on Friday at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater, check out the Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show in Miami Beach or cash in on a half-price ticket behind home plate at Marlins Park when the Fish take on the Phillies. If none of that appeals to you, can just hit the beach and take advantage of a brunch or dinner deal from Miami Spice.

  • Summer may be ending but Miami Spice rages on. Dine at the best local restaurants for lunch or dinner for less than $40. Miami Spice runs through Sept. 30 and features three-course lunches for $23 and dinners for $39, plus tax and tip at more than 200 restaurants. Visit ilovemiamispice.com.
  • Score a Marlins deal and watch the Labor Day Weekend Fireworks presented by T-Mobile on Saturday, Sept. 2. The Fish are offering half price tickets over Labor Day weekend and into next week to celebrate Giancarlo Stanton's 50th home run of the season. The only catch is that you have to buy your tickets by 6 p.m. Wednesday. Click here to score the deal. Choose the green "buy now" button next to the game you want to attend. Remember to type the word "fifty" in the promo field. Now choose the type of seats you want from the available list and the number of tickets. In the case of the lower level seats behind home plate, select "Home Plate Box C - 3rd" or "Home Plate Box C - 1st." Then just follow the prompts.
  • Get your design on. The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show returns September 1-4, 2017 to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Celebrity Interior Designer and lifestyle expert Sabrina Soto of HGTV's High/Low Project will offer design seminars at 2 pm on Sunday, September 3rd and Monday, September 4th.
  • Goo Goo this. The Goo Goo Dolls take over the Bayfront Park Amphitheater on Friday Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. with their Long Way Home Summer Tour. Click here for ticket details.
  • Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science will be rocking its First Friday event from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m on Friday Sept. 1. Scope out a spot under Frost Planetarium’s dome as the sounds of Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson and Daft Punk fuse with classic laser light visuals. Nostalgic for the laser shows of yesteryear? This is a retro throwback to the classic laser light of days gone by. Frost Science is fusing music from some of the greatest artists of our time with old-school laser light visuals β€” all under the 67-foot dome of the Frost Science Planetarium. Symphony of the Stars (family show) is scheduled for 7 p.m..; 8 p.m. Michael Jackson; 9 p.m The Beatles; 10 p.m. Jimi Hendrix; 11 p.m.: Daft Punk Midnight; 12 a.m. Best of Pink Floyd.   • Get your groove on. The Coast 2 Coast Music Conference is an annual networking event bringing together top industry DJs, producers, A&Rs and more to speak on panels and give practical advice to artists. All of it leads up to their World Championships showcase, where the top performer of the year is crowned and awarded a cash prize.
  • Dance, dance, dance. WeTheKeyDJs Conference - Labor Day Weekend. Some of the hottest DJs in the world perform at the Fontainebleau Hotel.
  • Rediscover your two-step at the Tequila Bay Music Festival when country moseys into Key Biscayne on Sunday Sept. 3. The festival will be at Miami Marine Stadium, 3501 Rickenbacker Causeway. It features country artists Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore, Montgomery Gentry, Tyler Farr, RaeLynn and Brooke Eden. More importantly, the event includes Casa Tequila, a pavilion with dozens of tequilas for you to try.
  • Gili’s Beach Club in Sunny Isles will feature special holiday menu items, including Bourbon Honey & Tabasco Chicken Wings served alongside a cool cucumber ranch dip for $6; Miami Shrimp Boil with yucca, sweet corn, and salsa for $16. Sip on the β€œBig Kids” Watermelon Lemonade spiked with Ketel Citroen Vodka for $10, or β€˜No Labor’ Beer Buckets including six domestic or local beers for $20. Kids can try the β€œJolly” Watermelon Lemonade in a sugared rim cup accompanied by a sour watermelon candy for $6. Labor Day menu specials are available for lunch and dinner from Sept. 2-4, 2017.
  • Applebee's has a special offer at some Miami area locations for families on Labor Day. You can receive up to two free kids’ meals with each adult entrΓ©e purchase. Children ages 12 and under can choose any entrΓ©e on the Applebee’s Kids’ Menu, accompanied by their choice of a side dish, and juice, milk or chocolate milk. This deal is good at the locations in Hialeah, Doral, Cutler Bay, Florida City and Pembroke Pines around Miami.
