Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Miami's family friendly museum will debut The Sun Spot, presented by Florida Power & Light Company on Saturday, Sept. 1. This new interactive permanent exhibition will open on the museum’s Florida Power & Light Company Solar Terrace, located on the sixth-floor rooftop terrace overlooking Downtown Miami.

Highlights of the exhibition include:

  • Using a Sunspotter to safely view the sun
  • Becoming a human-sized sundial to tell the time with your shadow
  • Activating an outdoor bike and hand cranks to power everyday objects (including a fan!)
  • Learning about the engineering behind solar panels
  • Exploring different types of renewable energy and batteries

Celebrate Labor Day at the earthy, yet contemporary garden oasis in the heart of Peacock Park. The restaurant is extending its signature weekend brunch to Monday, Sept. 3 with Floridian-inspired cuisine crafted by award-winning, star chef Giorgio Rapicavoli. premium tasting menu and entertainment including Taiko Drummers and a DJ during dinner. On Saturday, Sept. 1, guests may start the party early and enjoy an extended Happy Hour at both ETARU locations. The Happy Hour menu offers $6 signature cocktails, $5 house pours, sake and
wine and $3 Sapporo beers, as well as $5 bar snacks. ETARU Hallandale will run Happy Hour specials
from noon until 8 p.m. and open the third-floor terrace lounge to the public, while ETARU Las Olas will
