Miami Beach Firefighter Injured
A Miami Beach firefighter was injured fighting a fire at an unoccupied home.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — A Miami Beach firefighter was injured Tuesday night fighting a fire at an unoccupied home. The fire erupted at 8250 Byron Avenue. The firefighter's injury was described as non life threatening.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said that police escorted the injured firefighter to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. The firefighter was not immediately identified.
"Hoping for a speedy recovery for our firefighter injured at the scene," Rodriguez said on social media.
