Drunk Driver Drove into House, Troopers Say
Breaking: An early Sunday morning crash caused an estimated $75,000 worth of damage to a Hudson home and left an elderly man injured.

HUDSON, FL — A 23-year-old Hudson man faces a number of charges after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say he crashed into a home early Sunday morning.
According to the patrol, Jack Wayne Armstrong Jr. was traveling north on Balsam Avenue around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4. As Armstrong approached the T-intersection of Shadow Lake Boulevard, he’s accused of not stopping or slowing.
Troopers say Armstrong’s 2014 Chevrolet Camaro struck the stop sign before plowing into the front of a home in the 13200 block of Shadow Lake Boulevard. The home’s occupant, Roy Tomlin, 71, was inside the home at the time, a highway patrol report said. Tomlin suffered minor injuries.
