2 Airlifted To Trauma Center After RV Fire: Hernando County Officials
Two were seriously injured when an RV caught fire in eastern Hernando County, officials said.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — Two people were airlifted to a local burn/trauma center after an early Friday morning RV fire in Hernando County, officials said.
Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a reported RV fire in the 35000 block of Goolsby St in eastern Hernando County around 3 a.m.
Responders were told the RV “was fully engulfed in flames” and there were two people inside with burn injuries, HCFR wrote in a social media post.

They found a second RV was also partially on fire.
Firefighters battled the blaze while treating the burn victims until two medical helicopters responded to the scene and brought them to a local hospital in serious condition, HCFR said.

The fire was controlled within 30 minutes of responders arriving. The fire’s cause is under investigation by the state fire marshal’s officer.
