Man Took Train for Sex with New Port Richey Teen: Deputies

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 21-year-old man from Staten Island, N.Y., faces criminal charges after Pasco County deputies say he was found hiding in a 13-year-old New Port Richey girl’s closet. Deputies say the two met online when she was 10 and began “dating” about a year ago.

The incident that led to Christian Angelo Alarcon Roque’s arrest began to unfold late Monday. Deputies say the girl’s mother found Roque hiding in the closet, which prompted a call to authorities around 11 p.m.

Prior to his arrest, deputies say Roque admitted to taking a train from New York to Florida to visit the girl while his parents were vacationing in Mexico. After being read his rights, Roque told deputies how the two met and that they began exchanging nude photos about a year ago, an arrest report stated. Roque also admitted to having oral sex with the teen, the report noted.

Roque did, however, tell deputies he believed the girl was only a year younger than him, the report noted.

“The victim advised me she never told the defendant her true age,” the report added.

Roque was charged with lewd and lascivious battery, computer pornography and traveling to meet a minor. He was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Jail with bond set at $25,000. He remained in jail Tuesday morning.
