Join the dynamic fun at the 3-day Winter Haven American Pickleball Tournament (APT) beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, February 23 and continuing through Sunday, February 25! This unforgettable tournament experience has something for everyone no matter what your skill level or age, and first-time tournament players are encouraged to attend. The competition will take place at the AdventHealth Fieldhouse, 210 Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven. Event proceeds will benefit the Winter Haven High School Interact Club, which is sponsored by the Winter Haven Rotary Club and includes students that manage fundraisers and other events to empower and assist people locally and internationally.

APT Winter Haven not only embraces the sport of Pickleball (a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong), but also enables players to connect with others and spend time with those who have similar interests during social events. These events will include trips to Grove Roots Brewing Company and the Union Tap Room, games, best-dressed competitions with prizes, as well as sightseeing.

“We are very excited to partner with students in Interact who are working to make a difference in their community and internationally,” said Aaron Del Mar, APT founder. “APT participants will love the competition and make new friends while benefiting a truly worthwhile organization.”

Food and drink offerings throughout the tournament will be available at an onsite cafe. Parking is free and those who don’t choose to compete are encouraged to take advantage of open play courts on Friday afternoon or relax in the bleachers and cheer on their favorite players.

APT participants are encouraged to stay after the tournament and enjoy some sightseeing. Sites include Bok Tower Gardens, Florida’s Natural Grove House, and Ridge Island Groves which are all family-friendly places to explore while in the area.
