‘Poised, Prepared, Patriotic’: Army Veteran VC Lindenmeyer Recognized For Lifelong Service
A West Point graduate and Black Hawk pilot, he spent decades in military and civilian service, earning deep respect at home and abroad.

Graduated from West Point, served in the Army for 21 years as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, maintenance commander and border planner, deploying twice to Iraq. Served also at CENTCOM, MacDill AFB, for the last 18 years, 13 years as a senior civilian supervisor of military officers. Retired from federal service last month, Oct. 2025.
