Crime Blotter: Suspected Robber Nabbed, Auto Burglaries

The following crimes were recently reported to Tampa Police:
Attemped Robbery in Publix Parking Lot
A Hunter’s Green man was arrested Sunday after threatening to rob a customer outside the Publix near Cross Creek and Bruce B. Downs boulevards, according to Tampa Police.

Suspect Joshua Joe Fulkerson, 29, of Ridgeway Point Place, was arrested and charged with robbery, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tampa Police were dispatched to Publix after calls from Publix and the alleged victim. The alleged victim said the suspect approached him and demanded money and credit cards, while brandishing a chrome object in his pocket he said was a gun.

The man said he pushed the would-be robber and fled. Police thought the suspect sounded familiar to a man who was seen the week prior in the same area aggressively panhandling. In both cases, the suspect was driving a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Tampa Police located a Tacoma pickup entering the Hunter’s Green development shortly after. Fulkerson was driving the pickup and was identified by the victim.
Auto Burglary
An auto burglary was reported on the 10900 block of Cross Creek Boulevard Monday. Someone broke the passenger-side window and removed more than $400 worth of merchandise.
Auto Burglary at YMCA
An auto burglary was reported in the parking lot of the New Tampa YMCA on Tuesday. A passenger-side window was smashed and an undisclosed amount of items were taken.
