Chain-Reaction Crash Causes Traffic Headache on I-75

Four tractor-trailers were involved in the incident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A crash involving four tractor-trailers on I-75 South ruined many morning commutes Wednesday (Oct. 10). 

The incident occurred at 5 a.m. just north of the Bruce B. Downs Boulevard exit, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release. Lane closures were put in place but later lifted.

Two minor injuries and a gasoline spill were reported by authorities.

“Crews are currently nearing completion of the clean-up regarding the fuel spill while RISC (Rapid Incident Scene Clearance) vendors work to remove the tractor trailers from the roadway,” the FHP wrote in a news release around 8:50 a.m.

Authorities said the crash occurred after an unidentified vehicle cut off one of the semi-trucks.
