Crime Blotter: Vacant Apartment Vandalized, Attempted Burglary of School Buses
A roundup of recent crime in New Tampa.

The following crimes were recently reported to police:
Home burglary, Dec. 5. Someone cut the rear screen of a home on the 10800 block of Ancient Futures Drive in Easton Park and tried to pry open a sliding door lock. Entry was not gained. Three males were seen in the area around the time of the attempted burglary.
Auto burglary, Dec. 6. Youths were arrested after trying to force their way into two locked school buses at Freedom High School. They were chased from the area by a custodian but later picked up by police. No other details were available.

Home burglary, Dec. 9. Someone entered a vacant apartment on the 16300 block of Compton Drive and caused $3,000 worth of damage.
