Jewelry Thieves Strike Again
Since November, the Tampa Police Department has investigated more than 10 residential burglaries in New Tampa in which thousands of dollars in jewelry has been taken.

The Tampa Police Department is investigating another burglary involving jewelry.
Sometime between April 18 and 23, someone broke the rear window of a master bedroom in the 5900 block of Benton Court, according to police. The person or persons ransacked the master bedroom and adjoining closets and bathroom and took an unknown amount of jewelry.
The homeowner was out of town during the burglary, police said. The incident has been added to the list of 10 burglaries involving jewelry in New Tampa that TPD has been investigating since November.

In each case, the unknown burglar or burglars entered the homes through a rear, sliding glass door and removed the jewelry. In one case, two firearms were also taken.
