Open Burning Restrictions Issued For Hillsborough County On March 10
The Environmental Protection Commission is suspending all active and new open burn authorizations in the county.

The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County is suspending all active and new open burn authorizations in Hillsborough County due to current weather conditions except for Air Curtain Incinerators(ACI). This notice is effective immediately, today, March 10, 2022 pursuant to the current open burning restrictions memorandum issued by the Florida Forest Service, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. If there is the potential for unfavorable weather conditions to persist, this suspension may be extended beyond today. All businesses with active authorizations must continue to contact the Florida Forest Service, 863-940-6701, prior to intended start-up to notify them their your intentions to burn and to check for any restrictions or suspensions that may remain in effect.
