Teens Accused of Breaking into FBI Agent's Vehicle

An 18- and 16-year-old have been charged with the crime.

Two teens allegedly picked the wrong vehicle to break into over the weekend.

They entered a vehicle that belongs to a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and made off with a black MP5 rifle, bulletproof body armor and several rounds of ammunition valued at more than $300, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle was parked at an undisclosed residence in Wesley Chapel. Authorities said the alleged crime occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

Arrested were Raymond Cano, 18, who is listed by authorities as homeless, and a 16-year-old. They were each charged with armed burglary and grand theft.

Bail for Cano, who remained in custody Monday at Land O’ Lakes Jail, is set at $30,000 for the armed burglary charge and $2,500 for the grand theft charge, according to arrest records.
