USF Celebrating Vet's Day Early; Event Open to Public

U.S. Army Ranger Major Jeff Struecker (retired) will be the keynote speaker.

From the University of South Florida:

The University of South Florida will be honoring all those who have served in the United States military for their bravery and sacrifice in a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 10:45 a.m. in the Marshall Student Center Amphitheatre on the Tampa campus.

Hosted by USF’s Office of Veterans Services and the Student Veterans Association, the outdoor ceremony will feature keynote speaker and author U.S. Army Ranger Major Jeff Struecker (Retired), decorated convoy leader in the Battle of Mogadishu, as portrayed in the movie Black Hawk Down.  Following the ceremony, Major Struecker will be available for a book signing.
