10-Year-Old Girl Shoots, Kills Woman Who Fought With Mom: Orlando PD
Orlando police said the child's mother handed her a bag with a gun inside. Her daughter pulled out the gun and fatally shot the other woman.
ORLANDO, FL — A woman is dead after a 10-year-old shot her following a fight with the girl's mother late Monday night, according to the Orlando Police Department.
The shooting happened just before midnight along the 1400 block of Mercy Drive, police said.
Right before the shots were fired, Lakrisha S. Isaac, 31, and Lashun Denise Rodgers, 41, got into a fight, police said. Officers did not say what prompted the brawl.

During the fight, police said Isaac handed her young daughter a bag with a gun inside it.
Police said the child pulled the gun from the bag and fired two shots, striking Rodgers.

Rodgers was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, a police release said.
Isaac has been charged with manslaughter culpable negligence, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aggravated assault with a firearm.
"Potential charges regarding the juvenile’s involvement have been referred to the State Attorney’s Office for review," the Orlando Police Department said in a statement.
Police said the child was released into the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
