1. A 106-year-old Floridian woman from Merritt Island in Brevard County has made it through both the 1918 Spanish flu and the COVID-19 pandemic, despite contracting the virus in 2020. Her family says she is vaccinated and will get a booster when available as well. (Spectrum News 13)

2. Convicted murderer Angel Luis Rivera has died in prison. He is one of two men sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a Florida mother. He was charged with second-degree murder, abuse of a body, and evidence tampering in her 2019 death. (Fox 35 Orlando)

3. The Orange County Classroom Teachers Association is accusing the Florida state government of playing "Russian roulette" with the health of students, faculty and the larger community. The accusation comes after Florida's new Surgeon General passed a new rule at the Florida Department of Health allowing asymptomatic kids to go school and not be tested for COVID-19, pre-empting a lawsuit from counties around the state over a mask rule. 4. A new print shop called Color Me Places has opened in downtown Orlando at 103 East Pine Street. It specializes in direct-to-garment printing and does custom jobs as well as preset designs. (Bungalower)

5. A 25-year-old Orlando man was struck by a car and run over by a school bus while crossing a road Thursday morning in Orange County. Video from a nearby business captured it all. The pedestrian was inside a crosswalk when hit and was taken to Orlando Health for treatment. The original driver was arrested and faces charges for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. No one on the bus was harmed. (Click Orlando)
