1. “Art After Dark” is returning to downtown Orlando starting on August 14th at CityArts. It is an all-inclusive event where guests can view the gallery, eat and drink, while enjoying the ambience and entertainment. Tickets are now available. (WESH)

2. Orange County's hotel tax revenue in June 2021 was the highest since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Area hotels generated $21 million in tax dollars and were able to get by without dipping into county reserves for the second month in a row as the area recovers. (Click Orlando)
3. South Florida-based grocery chain Presidente Supermarkets announced it plans to open two more grocery stores in Orlando as part of a larger Central Florida expansion. (Orlando Weekly)
4. The often brash celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay opened a Fish & Chips restaurant on Monday at Orlando’s ICON Park. It is the first restaurant the chef has opened in Florida. (Spectrum News 13)
5. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced on Monday that nearly 5,700 new cases of COVID-19 had been reported since his briefing last Thursday or about 1,000 cases a day. The county will open a new testing site at Clarcona Elementary School in response. The 14-day rolling positivity rate is 19.72% for Orange County, far above was previously the target threshold.
