1. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer proclaimed the month of March as Women’s History Month in the city of Orlando on Tuesday, showing what the city said was its commitment to a more equal community. The National Women's History Alliance chose this year's Women's History Month theme as "Women providing healing, promoting hope." (Click Orlando)
2. Bread and Wine Food is now open near Motorworks Brewing and Neon Beach in downtown Orlando. Menu items include chicken gyoza, ribeye, shrimp pasta, and chickpea curry. A number of breakfast and brunch items are also available. (Bungalower)
3. The Florida Highway Patrol says that over the weekend, the first two days the new I-4 express lanes in Orlando were open, it issued 77 tickets for speeding. It is warning drivers that the express lanes are not a free for all on speeding. The speed limit on the majority of the 21-mile stretch of the express lanes is 60 mph. (WESH)
4. Total Wine & More, which has 34 locations in Florida and at least 3 locations in the Orlando area, has removed Russian products from its shelves nationwide. The decision was made to support Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion into their country. (Tampa Patch)
5. A woman was arrested Sunday after crashing a wedding in Brevard County then refusing to leave, according to the Satellite Beach Police Department. It happened at the 1400 block of Highway A1A in Satellite Beach. 52-year-old Gloria Ines Colwell has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting without violence and trespass after warning.
