• Orlando tow company accused of taking car before time expired (wftv.com) — A Lake County couple says their car was towed from a downtown Orlando lot before their paid parking time expired, despite city surveillance video supporting their claim. Orlando police initially treated the case as a civil tow, but the family plans to file a report with new evidence as they push the city to scrutinize towing practices that could affect many Orlando drivers.
   

• Drone captures arrest of Orlando burglary suspect hiding out on roof (wftv.com) — Orlando police used a drone to track and arrest a burglary suspect who allegedly stole cash and cigarettes from Annie’s Food Mart on the city’s east side. The Drone First Responder program’s thermal cameras helped officers find the man hiding on a nearby rooftop, recover the stolen items, and safely take him into custody while the department evaluates expanding its drone use.
