1. Gatorland is bringing back their Gators, Ghosts and Goblins its third year this Halloween. It is free with regular park admission and good for kids as well. (Orlando Weekly)

2. The Florida teacher shortage is predicted to grow to 10,000 vacancies. Seminole, Sumter, Orange, and Lake counties had to hire roughly 1% or less of their entire teaching staff in the weeks leading up to the school year, while Osceola had to hire nearly 5% or the state average. (Click Orlando)
3. A growing number of children are contracting COVID-19 in the delta variant surge and nearly 135 children were hospitalized this week in Florida. A spokesperson with Nemour's Children Hospital announced last week a pediatric patient died from the virus. There are currently 9 pediatric COVID-19 patients, one of whom is on a ventilator. (WESH)
4. The first 'cannabis college' called Sativa University in Central Florida is now open in Apopka. Courses for the college start at $299. The college has thousands of students enrolled in online classes and also are offering hands-on training in their lab at their 5-acre campus. (Fox 35 Orlando)
5. A boil water notice was issued on Friday for Titusville after a sample test on Wedenesday revealed E.coli, according to the city. Either human or animal waste contaminated the water supply. (Spectrum News 13)
