1. Otronicon is returning to the Orlando Science Center on Presidents Day Weekend, from Friday, February 18th to Monday, February 21st. The science festival and tech expo is presented by the University of Central Florida's Office of Research. (WFTV)
2. The SOKO Marketplace has been created to provide a venue for entrepreneurs of color impacted by lack of access to start-up funds and brick-and-mortar space. Lawanda Thompson, president of the Equity Council Corp, says, "The money doesn't circulate through our community like it does everyone else's community, and that's mainly because you don't see shopping centers dedicated to Black business." 3. The Orange County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests of three men Friday who are accused of attacking a Jewish victim during a Nazi rally near Alafaya Trail and Waterford Lakes Parkway. Deputies arrested 46-year-old Joshua Terrell, 47-year-old Jason Brown, and 45-year-old Burt Colucci. Terrell and Colucci both face battery charges, while Brown faces a charge of grand theft. 4. A viral TikTok video shows Apopka police officer Nathan Tuck, who allegedly took part in the January 6th Capitol Riot Insurrection, violently arresting a Black man in his driveway. Tuck is a member of the Proud Boys hate group. Former law enforcement officer Jason Friend is the man in the video being arrested. Friend is suing the city over alleged police brutality, negligent hiring practices, and mistreatment at the jail. (Orlando Weekly)
5. "Cobra Kai" stars William Zabka and Martin Kove are the latest celebrity guests set to appear at MegaCon Orlando from May 19th to May 22nd. They join a lineup that includes "The Lord of the Rings" stars Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan. Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes and other actors from "Clerks" are also set to appear. (Spectrum News 13)
