1. A herd of cows blocked all lanes on Florida's Turnpike in Osceola County on Monday, Spectrum News 13 reported. An Alabama cattle hauler driver said his semitruck caught fire, prompting him to pull over and release the animals, according to Florida Highway Patrol. He remained at the scene. 2. Orlando Magic has filed a lawsuit against a local construction company regarding alleged missed payments in a sponsorship agreement. A breach of contract lawsuit was filed in the Orange County Circuit Court July 8 against Carroll Bradford Inc. regarding an alleged unpaid $454,208. (Subscription: Orlando Business Journal)
3. An Edgewater man has been arrested and charged after a home inspection company found dead dogs at his home. William Demchick faces four counts of felony animal cruelty. (WFTV)
4. A new fire station is planning to open by next summer in Orange County's unincorporated Horizon West. The area has experienced rapid growth since 2010 with over 44,000 new residents. (Spectrum News 13)
