LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL — Ticket bookers at Walt Disney World are used to taking calls from people across the country, even the world, as families plan their visits to the destination park known to many as the "Happiest Place on Earth."

But when one employee answered a call from Pennsylvania earlier this month, she sensed something was off.

The employee heard the woman on the phone yelling "get off me" and "get away from me," figured out she was in danger and not calling about buying any tickets to the Orlando-area theme park, according to a WESH report that cites a police report.

The Disney employee began asking the woman "yes" or "no" questions, according to the report from the Northern York County Regional Police Department in Pennsylvania. It was then confirmed, through the employee's questions, that the woman was not calling to book a trip and was really looking for help from the police. The woman also told the employee someone was hurting her through another yes or no question, according to the report.

Police were called by the employee, and led to filing charges against 38-year-old Wayne Shiflett, the boyfriend of the woman calling. Shiflett is accused of choking and threatening the woman. He was charged with strangulation, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize and simple assault, WESH reported.

The victim told police she and Shiflett were arguing about him getting a job, according to a report from WPMT in Pennsylvania. She told police that after she told Shiflett his job selling fire extinguishers was "not a realistic job," Shiflett grabbed her by the throat, choked her at least three times and slapped her, according to the report.

Disney World has not named the employee who made the call to police.
