ORLANDO, FL — Visiting Walt Disney World in Florida will get a little more expensive starting next month, the Orland0-based resort announced Tuesday.

For the first time since 2019, Disney World is raising base ticket prices. The change will go into effect on Dec. 8, the same day the resort also plans to introduce park-specific pricing on one-day, one-park tickets.

Animal Kingdom will be the only park to keep its current ticket price range. New ticket prices are as follows, according to a Disney World spokesperson:

  • Hollywood Studios: $124-$179
  • EPCOT: $114-$179
  • Magic Kingdom: $124-$189

Ticket prices fluctuate based on date and demand, making Magic Kingdom the most expensive park to visit on its busiest day. According to the resort, the most expensive Magic Kingdom ticket price will be in effect for nine days between Christmas and New Year's Day.

"Magic Kingdom Park will be priced at or above our other theme parks due to the incredible demand as it remains the most-visited theme park in the world," a Disney World spokesperson said in a statement.

According to the resort, existing tickets will be honored at their previously purchased price.

Moving forward, when guests purchase a one-day ticket for a specific date and theme park, a reservation will automatically be made at the time of purchase. Guests who purchase multi-day tickets will still need to make their own reservations.

Other changes announced by Disney World include an increase in price for the Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus options. The Park Hopper options allow guests to move between parks during their visit.

Annual pass prices will also increase on Dec. 8. Currently, new sales are paused on all passes except the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which is open to Florida residents only. All annual passes continue to be available for renewal.

Here are the new annual pass prices:

  • Incredi-Pass: $1,399, up from $1,299
  • Sorcerer: $969, up from $899
  • Pirate:  $749, up from $699
  • Pixie: $399

Officials also announced updates to the Disney World dining reservation policy that allows guests to cancel their dining reservations up to two hours in advance of their scheduled time at most locations without being charged a cancellation fee. A spokesperson said the change should give guests more flexibility during their stays.
