Here are the top five stories in Orlando today:

1. Seven people were injured after a fight ended with someone shooting into a crowd in downtown Orlando near Wall Street Plaza early Sunday morning as the bars were closing, according to police. The shooter is still at large and their identity is unknown. (Fox 35, Click Orlando)

2. Orange County Public Schools is handing out 113,000 new laptops to students in grades 6 through 12 for the new school year. The only schools that will be skipped are those who received new laptops last year. (WFTV)

3. The excavation of human remains at a construction site off Old Kings Road was completed Saturday afternoon, according to Flagler County Sheriff's Office. Police say the human remains could potentially be connected to missing person cases. (WESH)

4. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Sunday deputies arrested a man who fatally shot his family member in Winter Haven earlier that morning. Judd added that 21-year-old Kyle Raemisch allegedly confessed to the shooting. (Click Orlando)

5. A Manatee County woman says she lost part of a finger in an accident when she rode Universal Orlando's King Kong ride last year on May 16 and is seeking over $100,000 in damages, according to court documents. Universal denies the allegations and said, the "plaintiff’s injury was solely the result of her negligent failure to observe the subject condition." (Florida Politics)

  • The Consul General for France in Miami presented a French military medal to 97-year-old U.S. Navy veteran Stephen A. Nemeth in Kissimmee on Friday. American veterans who risked their lives during World War II to fight in French territory are eligible for this distinction. (Osceola News-Gazette)
  • SpaceX wants to expand its Robert Road site by up to 100 acres and consolidate its Brevard County assets. (Spectrum News 13)
