1. Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) has announced the hiring of 3 newly created Vice President positions. A nationwide search is currently underway to find a replacement for CFCArts founder and executive director Joshua Vickery. (Bungalower)
2. Orlando's Rebel Rock Festival was abruptly canceled hours before the multi-day event was set to begin on Friday. The cancellation comes after reporting from Orlando Weekly on a large number of performer cancellations. Organizers blame "severe weather" making the event "unfit for artists, crews, vendors, and fans." (Orlando Weekly)
3. Berlitz, a student and exchange visitor program-certified school that opened in Orlando back in 2016, allows people to learn a new language both online and in-person. Most of the students in Orlando come from Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and Puerto Rico. (Click Orlando)
4. Two Orlando police officers are recovering after being attacked by a man with a brick in downtown Orlando early Saturday morning. The attack happened around 12:40 a.m. Saturday and the suspect, William McClish, live streamed it on Facebook. (WFTV)
5. A Florida ferret in Kissimmee has tested positive for COVID-19 and is sneezing and coughing, the first in the country to test positive. Scientists believe the ferret acquired the virus from a person infected with the virus. (WESH)
