1. Apopka restaurant, Porkie's Original BBQ, will hold a fundraiser today for Austin Duran, the Apopka firefighter who has been fighting to recover from a tragic injury he sustained while working on June 30. (Click Orlando)

4. A South Florida man was arrested Monday and accused of raping a woman at Disney's Dolphin Resort in Orlando, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The arrest report states that security cameras captured the woman trying to crawl away from Gomez, who was then reportedly seen forcing himself on her. Eyvor Gomez, 49, of Pembroke Pines faces a charge of sexual battery. (Fox 35)

5. Maxine's on Shine located at 337 Shine Avenue is looking to make the patio constructed during the height of the pandemic permanent with new additions, according to documents. The permanent plans would call for an outdoor bar and formal covering. (Bungalower)

  • Goff's Drive In will officially reopen on July 18, according to a Facebook post. The ice cream shop was the recent target of an arsonist. (Orlando Weekly)
  • Disney is arguing in court it did not infringe on another company's patent to help build its "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance" ride, the most technologically advanced attraction at Disney to date. Disney is now countersuing the company and wants the company's patent to be declared unenforceable, court documents show. (Florida Politics)
  • Orange County Public Works is currently inspecting the County's primary and secondary drainage systems, including canal systems, retention ponds and subdivision street inlet pipes and checking drainage wells and pump stations as needed in preparation for hurricane season.
