1. Cities in Central Florida have started limiting irrigation after OUC asked customers to conserve water for liquid oxygen needed for COVID-19 patients in hospitals experiencing a surge and for clean drinking water. (WFTV)

2. The delta variant is causing a bigger dip in Orlando's tourism than usual for this time of year, according to officials. Starting in August, hotel occupancy rates dropped 10% week over week. The most recent number was 56% for hotel occupancy. Many international travelers still are also not visiting because of COVID and travel and quarantine restrictions. (Fox 35 Orlando)

3. Brevard Public Schools announced Friday that the district will close the campus of Madison Middle School to students for two days next week due to a COVID-19 outbreak. The school will provide two days of breakfast and lunches to students via pick-up. (Click Orlando)

4. Governor DeSantis announced yesterday that the Hula Bowl will come to The UCF Bounce House in 2022. Florida’s bowl games bring in more than $380 million collectively every year and employ thousands of people in hospitality and tourism. (WMFE)

5. Halloween Horror Nights runs September 3rd through October 31st, 2021 and Universal is offering passholders a number of perks. This year will include 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and two live shows. (Spectrum News 13)
