Here are the top stories in Orlando today:

  1. Walt Disney Company has asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed against the company by the new Central Florida Tourism Oversight District created by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The company decried being allegedly targeted by Florida politicians. Disney argued a federal lawsuit is already underway on the issue and that a new law makes the lawsuit pointless. (WFTV)
  2. City of Orlando has ranked No. 52 by U.S. News in the best places to live in the United States. Green Bay, Wisconsin was named the best place to live. Criteria for the ranking includes temperatures and an establishment-to-population ratio of businesses nearby. (Sarasota Patch)
  3. Two families broke out into a fight at Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando on Tuesday over a photograph opportunity. The families were removed from the theme park. Police said the victim did not want to prosecute. No other details are available as of Tuesday evening. (Click Orlando)
  4. Le Coq au Vin, a French staple in Orlando, has shut down operations after over 40 years of business. French chef Louis Perrotte, who ran the business for over 25 years, won a hall of fame award from the Orlando Sentinel. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel)
  5. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is defending the ONEPulse foundation and city amid calls for an investigation into the group and nightclub owners. Critics are complaining that the executives are being paid over $500,000, while the organization recently faced a financial deficit. Residents are also angry that a Pulse memorial has failed to materialize. (Spectrum News 13)
