1. Lakeland-based grocery chain Publix is modifying some of its store hours in Florida ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Nicole. Most of the changes are to east coast stores in Brevard County, but the store website is the easiest way to lookup changes and stay updated. (Click Orlando)

2. A Lake Advisory has been issued for all City of Orlando lakes until further notice due to Hurricane Nicole. Residents should refrain from recreation activity or contact with lakes and take safety precaution as the storm approaches Florida. (Bungalower)

5. SeaWorld-owned theme parks suffered a drop in traffic this year due to the impact of Hurricane Ian. An estimated 90,000 visitors were lost due to the storm.
