Here are the top five stories in Orlando today:
1. The city of Winter Park has issued a precautionary lake alert for Lake Killarney due to potentially elevated bacteria levels due to a lift station failure on the east side of the lake. Lake samples are scheduled to be taken again today and again on Tuesday, July 26. (Bungalower)
2. Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Nikki Fried announced plans for new legislation on Wednesday to improve safety on thrill rides. The push comes months after the death of Tyre Sampson, who fell from the FreeFall ride at Orlando's ICON Park off International Drive. (Click Orlando)
3. The Lake County Sheriff's Office says a woman called them to inform that a man, Markus Fricke, was planning to blow up his house and the entire neighborhood. Police were no strangers to the man. "Markus Fricke has an extensive history of unusual and concerning behavior where it is documented that he believes individuals live in his attic and trespass on his lawn," a report reads. Fricke was arrested, faces nine charges and is being held on no bond. (WESH)
4. A Central Florida woman, accused of running around outside of a Publix with a pitchfork and a black whip while trying to sell teddy bears, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. at the Publix on North Hancock Road in Clermont. (Fox 35)
5. SeaWorld Orlando has announced new additions to Howl-O-Scream 2022 including a live show called "Lurking in the Depths: An Adventurer’s Tale" and a scare zone. The special event will run select nights September 9 through October 31. (Spectrum News 13)

- A Brevard County man is in police custody on charges he allegedly filmed a child inside a Publix restroom. The incident happened in May at a store located at 7325 N. U.S. Highway 1. Deputies say Mark Smith was previously convicted of video voyeurism in 2017. (WESH)
