Battery Explodes Inside Bag At Orlando Airport
No injuries were reported and there is no danger to the public.

ORLANDO, FL — A lithium battery in a camera exploded in a bag at Orlando International Airport Friday, causing a loud sound that startled passengers, police say.
"The bag was smoldering," police said.
Orlando Police say there was no shooting and no danger to the public at the airport. No injuries were reported.

"TSA checkpoints remain closed as crews prep for reopening," Orlando Airport said in a statement. "For security reasons, the gate areas are being evacuated so passengers can be re-screened. Personnel doing all possible to return ops to normal. Check with your airline on flight status."
